Are Tag watches cheaper in Germany?

I'm trying to find a good deal on a Tag Heuer watch and wondered if they were cheaper in Germany.

Hi

When I was in Switzerland I checked out the price of a Rado watch. Same as back home! Maybe this applies to Germany too. I think you're better of trying eBay.

Cheers

Well, Tag watches are not made in Germany, they are Swiss. So Switzerland is where I would expect the best deals in Europe to be. However, there are New York city dealers that offer terrific prices on Swiss watches. If you have a particular model that you want to buy, I would first check the price in Tampa. Then call to see if you can find the watch for a much better price here in NY or another large city in the US. One place you might try is Yaeger Watch on 47th Street in Manhattan. Then, armed with that price, if you go to Switzerland or Germany, see if you can find the watch at a lower price.

Not very exotic, but Costco has Tags at very good prices. I got mine wholesale years ago and still love it and wear it daily!

Considering the exchange rate Dollar vs CHF and that little problem of customs duties I think I'd check at Costco, too!
