Are "screen names" now not retrievable, though the (text) search process?
For example, searching "bobthenavigator fairylands" yields no hits - - missing the obvious, such as
http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...2&tid=34679976
likewise, "bobthenavigator castelrotto" fails to retrieve the same thread.
Has Fodors "deindexed" bobthenavigator - - on the basis of being too "commercial"?
Curious mihds want to know.
Best wishes,
Rex

Admittedly a good stragey to have in one's repertiore...
This does retrieve what I was seeking:
http://www.google.com/search?as_q=bo...rch=fodors.com
...but it doesn't answer the question in the message header.

Well... I must be doing something wrong as I typed
fairylands
in the search window and hit search. That Italian thread came up first in line. And no Googling!
Maybe you've highlighted a country before this search?
Let me try castelrotto.

Seems besides the point SusanEva - - searching "susan eva" should not be expected to retrieve the same thing as SusanEva, any more than "sus aneva" or "susa neva". Computer indexing doesn't "know" anything about breaking words apart.

Hi Rex,
"bobthenavigator" hasn't been deindexed.
His name brings up over 100 hits.
I was going to suggest that you try ""bobthenavigator AND fairylands", but all that did was bring up this thread.
Searching for ""bobthenavigator AND magical" also missed your thread.
OTOH a search for "magical fairylands" brings it up.
There are some things that computers do that we mere mortals are not meant to understand.

...and it's almost always because humans programmed them to do those things, whether intentional or not...
