April - May and October - December

I have been much too busy since arriving home in early December to spend any time at all on the forum.

I am set to depart on April 14 and will return home on May 15. I was just able to make my flight reservations for next fall..the 330 days out. Departing on October 13 and will return home on December 15.

I am presently making some reservations for April. I have some friends arriving on April 18 and will be there for 11 days. I will be showing them 'my' Paris! They are staying in an apartment near me. I just made reservations for a favorite of mine, l'Obe in the Crillon for Easter Sunday. Spring Restaurant reservations are in process and we have a Le Florimond reservation.

I will do my running trip report along with daily photos, if wanted. April will be arriving soon!!

a bientot...

Joan

Bonjour Joan,

Thanks for the heads up! Just the thought of 'travelling along with you to Paris' takes away some of the gloom of these rainy winter days. Look forward to your first installment.

Hi Joan- So jealous...but thank you again for your last T/R as it brought Hotel de Crillon to my attention...we had a fantastic brunch at Les Ambassadeurs. I know L'Obe is your spot but so enjoyed the hotel and our brunch! Christmas Day at le Cinq was just sinful...in case you didn't see my T/R (Christmas in Paris was fantastic). We had such a great time and are missing it!

I had to search to find this. I have not been on the forum.
Glad you enjoyed the brunch at Les "A". I have done it, too and did enjoy, but now enjoy l'Obe..not so touristy! Paris is a fun place to be at Christmas time!

My April/May trip is really developing. A friend and occasional forum poster, grandmere, is extending her trip in Paris with her family and will be staying with me 5 nights and joining some of the already planned things with a number of reservations made. Other good friends have also rented an apartment nearby me, and will be there for 10 days.

I am mostly packed, too! Time goes quickly and April will be here before we know it!

a bientot...

Well Joan, it sounds like it's shaping up to be another great trip. You know that we'll all enjoy reading about it as it unfolds. Best regards, EJ

Joan, I'm still so sad that our trips will just missed each other...I'll leave and you'll arrive...someday we'll get the timing right for a good visit. I know that reading your reports after I get home will help with the Paris withdrawls ...It will be like bonus days...almost as good as really being there. Your reports are the best. Glad you're almost packed...I haven't had time to even think about that yet...wish I could predict the weather...it's been so strange everywhere. I wish us both good weather and happy times.

Les A didn't feel too touristy and we are glad we went...so lovely! So jealous that you will be there again in no time. You are leaving in October on my birthday...where's my birthday trip?

I have just heard from another good friend who will be in Paris in April.

Elle, if you are reading this I hope you can join in some planned festivities in the works. I will gladly add you to the list and you will meet some new people, too!

Had to search to find this thread. I have been too busy to even look at Fodor's for about a month, I guess.

I packed for the last time. Only be there for a month this trip, so don't need much! Have quite a few dining reservations made. Lot's of people get togethers. Some I have not seen for awhile.

Start watching weather more closely now...

a bientot...

Bonjour Joan- Seriously giving some thought to Thanksgiving in Paris...Thanksgiving at your annual dinner at Violon D'Ingres is too good to not think seriously about! We are both missing Paris.

We ARE going to Paris over Thanksgiving...flight & apartment are both booked. I thought that my husband wouldn't want to go back but to move on to a new destination, and as soon as he mentioned that he would like to go again, I was all over it. Would love to go to the Thanksgiving soiree! A belated birthday gift to myself.

Just looked to see if I could find the thread. I have not had time to be looking.

Wonderful that you will be there for Thanksgiving! We will be talking about it a bit while I am there in April/May. It is a definite GO! I will be talking with Catherine. You are signed up. We will plan a pre dinner GTG at my apartment to meet one another and then walk down to Violon. We had a great time last year..as you know!! Sounds great!!

Denise do you have my yahoo address? You should have it for our keeping up with Thanksgiving plans.

It is [email protected] Drop me a note there and I will then have yours and all T/G correspondence can go out to all together.
