And more thanks. Hopefully, all the photos now are labeled (unless it's obvious) and in chron order.
I forgot to write that Giverny was desserted after the last relative died and mouldered until a group restored it in the 1970s. Copies were made of all the amazing original art and the house and gardens were restored using Monet's notes, photos, seed orders and other bills. Most of the works had been donated to various museums at his death (if my reading memory serves).
There is a road between the house and the pond with the bridge. An American donated the underground passageway. Monet's neighbors formally complained that all his water plantings would be toxic to the water supply. I believe that is where he met Clemenceau.

Addendum: The name of the Bayeux cafe is Le Conquerant and my omelette with a glass of wine cost €11,40.
Credit card statement came in today and the receipts all matched. A big phfew!
