Stayed in Monte di Pieta last April. What do you want to know?

We liked the location in a small piazza a few blocks from the Campo dei Fiori, it was centrally located for what we wanted to do. The apartment was attractive and fairly comfortable (the beds were a little too hard for my taste). It had a nice bathroom and kitchen area. Even though we were within a few yards from a main via leading into the Campo, it was very quiet because of the interior courtyard.

It was not my first choice (long story involving another rental agency),but as we had to find a place with 2 beds on fairly short notice I would say that overall I was pleased with the place. I don't know that I would highly recommend it to you, it depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking for a place with a view, this is not it. It you are looking for a romantic hideaway, this is not it. Hence the question about what do you want to know.

I agree w/ what SAB says. I'm a very light sleeper and this apt was quiet. No view but adequate natural light. Great mini-kitchen but we couldn't get the oven to work. Close-by grocery store and great pedstiran streets w/ wall to wall shopping. Excellent area. Sleep in Italy took immediate action on the one issue we had which was a broken toilet.

By the way, you should type in the name of each apt in the search field to find other comments.

Hello. We just came back from Rome and would highly recommend either this apartment or this agency. Very easy to deal with as well as very reasonable prices. I cannot stop raving about this place - better than the pictures with a host that speaks English.

May I add another question about SleepInItaly.com? I'm trying to make a reservation and they are asking me to send my credit card info (including the 3-digit security #, on the back of the card) via e-mail or fax. Shouldn't they have a secured website for credit card payment? Is it safe to send complete info in an e-mail? Thanks

Max, that safety issue is batted around a lot. I've done it dozens -- no, make that hundreds -- of times. I personally feel that an email is safer than a fax. And I feel that sending the info in an email is a lot safer than letting your local waiter take your credit card to the back of a restaurant to run your charge through.
