UPDATE: Finally 10 days before we leave for London, I get an email from Thomas saying that he has made a mistake and that our dates have been given to someone else. Unfortunately or fortunately, I had not paid yet as he asked me to wait till I had seen the pictures of the apartment before confirming and the pictures were not ready yet with them. Once I saw the pictures ( after many reminders to Thomas) and was ready to sign the contract and pay, I get this message from him. Anyway c'est la vie..
We booked with Farnum and Christ who were extremely professional and luckily had a lovely apartment on Abingdon Road available for our dates. So we lucked out and the holiday did not get screwed up.
This is just to say be careful and confirm all details over and over again when dealing with London Connections.

OMG, that's awful!!! Glad it ended up working out for you in spite of the screw up! Hopefully we don't have any problems as I've already paid and double checked our reservations twice now. Have a great trip!!!!

I just returned from London, having stayed at a London Connections flat. The flat was perfectly located in Palace Terrace gardens, Kensington. It was MUCH better than expected for the price. The flat's appearance was better than the web site photos. The contact/let-in person Christina was plesant, helpful and patient; the airport pick-up person Maureen was funny and wonderful and prompt. The overall experience was excellent, we loved our cozy home-away-from-home, and will book with LC again next time.
This was not the first time i've booked a rental property, so am aware that unexpected and unwanted surprises can occur. Fortunately, the only surprises here were good ones. More details can be found on tripadvisor, where i posted a response to the series of comments about LC.

We rented an apartment for a three weeks in London from London Connection. After moving in, we were awakened one morning by someone entering the apartment unannounced. We later learned that the man who entered the apartment was an employee of London Connection trying to retrieve a folding bed to take to another of their units. However my wife continued to be so badly shaken to the point of insisting that we abort our visit and return home. We asked London Connection to refund the last week of our booking --- but they refused to make a refund. Enough to say, I will never again use London Connection --- one of their employees ruined our visit to London and although they did acknowledge their employee should have contacted us before entering the apartment unannounced they do not "give a fig" about people renting their units.

We've used London Connections twice and would not hesitate to use them again. Check out my comments on my last 2 Trip Reports. It's so much more comfortable than staying in a tiny hotel room. The last trip we stayed just off Villiers St. just steps from Charing Cross and Embankment tube stations and Trafalgar Square, that made it so easy for us to get around the city without a lot of walking.

I have used London Connection many times over the past several years, and have also recommended them to others who have used them. They have been positive experiences overall. One flat that I stayed in many years ago was clean and nicely furnished, but a bit chilly and sterile for my taste. It was laid out inconveniently over several floors, but the neighborhood was great. I learned soon after that they eliminated that one from their list, as others who had stayed there said the same thing. This tells me that they listen carefully to what people have to say, and make adjustments. All the others I have stayed in have been beautiful and clean, in wonderful neighborhoods. Their driver, David, went so far as to mail something back to me, at his cost, that I had left in his van after our trip to the airport.
