Anyone use Pepecar.com?

Fodor's guide book recommends Pepecar.com. Has anyone used this online car rental agency? We will be renting a car for 4 days, and the online rate is about $133 for a medium-size car.
Thanks for any comments/advice.

If Fodor's guide book recommend it, it could be no more than a paid advertisement, or someone on the staff like it. Pepecar is fine if it fits your needs, but like everything, you have to weigh the good with the bad. The bad is that just about everyone will know you're driving a Pepecar. It's one big rolling, or parked, advertisement.

I'd check my other options before picking any company. You can start with Auto Europe and Kemwel, and then go on to AVIS, Europcar, etc, before making up my mind.

One car that I picked up from Europcar had www.europcar.com across it's rear bumper. Just screams 'tourist'!!! Can't leave anything even hidden in the car.

I don't remember what country/city it was.

Glad to see pepecar has gotten some larger vehicles. They used miniature ones years ago when they first started.

Robert, thanks. I will compare prices with other car rental agencies.
lincasanova, do you live in Spain? What is your opinion of pepecar? Are they reputable & dependable?

I don't need to rent here in Spain obviously, but i have seen them around. If it is the size you need and the price is much better than other agencies.. why not? However, I do not know if they have a large pool of cars or not as back-up, whereas the larger agencies would seem to be able to cope with problems better as they should have more back-up cars and more offices across the country.

look for online coupons for each rental agency.. google "avis coupons" or europcar coupons. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't.
