Anyone purchased NYE Fireworks Tickets on Gumtree

I logged on to the Mayor's website for the second batch of tickets released for the NYE Fireworks display and I couldn't get in and when I finally did, it was all gone. We will be visiting London and hoping to experience the fireworks in the designated viewing areas. Are we pretty much out of luck or are the ones being sold on gumtree valid(yes, for more than the !0 pounds it cost originally ;(

Thanks!

I wouldn't personally. It is a mad house w/ hundreds of thousands of people in the ticketed area.

You take a big chance if you buy tickets from other than the official sources. If you're being asked to pay before you get the tickets, then there's a good chance that you either won't get them or they'll be forgeries. If you can see them before you pay, then I'd maybe go ahead.

There's no way we can know if what's being sold on Gumtree or any other site are valid tickets.

Exactly, do what millions of other (sensible) people do, watch it on TV.

I third that (as on the other thread where someone asked about it). Unless you really like being in the middle of a YUUGE crowd and getting crushed on the journey back to your bed (and who knows how long that might take), I really wouldn't bother. Even if the tickets are genuine.
