Well, it was about 3 hours to Perugia (where we spent the 1st night) then about 3 hours to Ravello (2nd night) then about 2 hours into parking lot at Venice. Driving back we went Bologna, the Florence...all took about the same amount of time. I'd say its minimum 7 hours straight through, but that's just a guess and assuming no major tie-ups on the road (that can add hours!!).

It is about 6 or 7 hours straight through. Once you get out of the city of Rome it is a very easy drive on the autostrada. We do it all the time.

Seems like a shame to hopscotch from rome to Venice without a stop in Umbria or Tuscany, minimally.

For any driving trip planning, I recommend that you become familiar with one or more of these excellent websites for route planning/mileage/time estimates:

www.vianmichelin.com
www.mapp y.com

or

www.geoshellstar.com

Best wishes,

Rex
