Anyone booked a villa on sorrentodreams.com ?

Hello! I have a question about booking through this site that advertises beautiful villas in the Sorrento/Amalfi Coast area. Our booking fell through (on our first villa) due to manager illness after our deposit was made. We have been assured our reservation will be honored for another villa, but it is on a different site. I'm a little wary, since this problem has never happened before. Anyone have any experience with this booking agent? Thanks so much.

This is another service booking agency.

Have your read the T&Cs? 30% (probably their commission) the deposit and non refundable.

Cancel between 30 and 60 days out, you lose another 20%.

Any cancellation newer than that a "discussion" with the company will be made. Wanna guess what that means? If there's a disagreement, only the local courts can decide.

Anything that's very restrictive and onerous is something I stay completely away from.

You have pretty much concentrated on Italy, Sorrento and the Amalfi areas in your posts for the last 6 years on Fodors. Have you learned anything yet?, or are you part of the group trying to sell the company to us simple Americans? You've made past recommendations for various villa service companies

I am a lover of Italy, and asked a simple question. I am not promoting anything, and I dislike your tone.

We always use summerinitaly.com and you should too.
They have great customer service and a direct phone line from USA.
