It's up to Sharon and her family what they do on holiday surely, Surely? I think Legoland is fun for kids (up to about 10 years, I should think) although I've only visited the one in the UK. She didn't say it was the only thing she was planning to do in Germany - she may even live in Germany.

Sorry I can't help on the specifics of the one in Germany, Sharon - except decide in advance how much you will spend in the shop!! In the UK I didn't find discounts on most lines, compared to regular toyshops, except that the items only available on the web were slightly cheaper at Legoland. Have fun!

Sharon, the one in Denmark was nice. We visited when my kids were little, and they liked it. It was a summer when we vacationed in Denmark in a small rented house by a great beach. Actually Denmark is a very good destination for families with small chilren. Legoland visit was just something to have a little bit of diversion to our beach and biking routine.

I suppose I meant with that Promote Danish Tourism speech that Legoland is very worthwile if you are somewhere near it. So if you are travelling in Germany in that area, visit Legoland by all means. Your children will like it (if they are less than 10 years old).
