Anybody used lastminute.com?

I just found this website www.lastminute.com which seems to have some great rates on hotels. Has anybody used this site and got good results?

Hi. Yup, I use them all the time for all sorts of things and find them really good - haven't had any problems with them at all yet. Their "top secret" hotel deals are especially good. Have fun!

Thanks, beroccstar, they don't tell you there service fees until you give your credit card info though. Is the rate shown the rate you pay or do they add service fees at checkout?

I used lastminute.com to find a hotel in London in January and paid no additional fees over the quoted rate. I think I got a good deal, but it was a good idea to run the hotels by tripadvisor.com -- some of the reviews I read there saved me from disaster!

I have used lastminute.com several times for both short holidays and london theatre. i have even recommended them several times here. Previous to this latest trip, i have had no problems, never had to even call customer service.

This last booking has been a nightmare. they did not send my vouchers (as promised) and after 11 phone calls finally emailed the vouchers the very day before the trip (never received a "hard copy&quot. Customer service is a joke and they just promise and lie.

I realise that occasionally encoutering problems is inevitable when booking travel but when the company treats it all as a joke (the attitude was that they have my money and there is no recourse whether or not the vouchers are sent).

what if i had serious problem on my holiday, how could they respond to it if they can't even deal with a simple problem of sending the vouchers that i paid for?

i have absolutely no confidence in this company and will never book travel with them again.
