My husband and I stayed at the Hotel du Cadron near the Eiffel Tower and loved it! It is a small hotel, resonably priced, with a wonderful (actually amazing) staff. The staff assisted us coordinating tickets for various shows, river cruise, etc. before arriving in Paris. The hotel has an English speaking staff and is located on a market street (very entertaining). Hotel info:

Special thanks to all of you for your many suggestions, all of which have been
most helpful. We have narrowed our choices to the following hotels:
Brighton, Bonaparte, Hotel de Fleury, Hotel du Vieux Marais, Hotel de la place du Louvre and Hotel du Cadron. Would love to hear from anyone who has stayed at any of these hotels.

Stayed at the Fleurie in May 02. Couldn't have been more pleased. Room was small but comfortable and clean. Staff very friendly. Excellent location -- close to Metro & restaurants. We'd definitely stay there again.
