Any special luggage restrictions at Charles de Gaulle Airport?
My husband and I are visiting London and Paris for the very first time in September. We are flying into London and out of Paris on American Airlines.
Anyone know if there are any special luggage restrictions on bags flying out of Charles de Gaulle? I am having a hard time finding any info online - even on American Airline's website - guess I may have to call them.
We just want to make sure rolling carry-ons are okay (if the proper size), how they handle liquids, anything else we should know when packing for our return trip, etc.
Any advice or links would be GREATLY appreciated!!

no, there's nothing that unusual at CDG. Of course you can take on a rolling bag if it fits the size limits. The rules on liquids/gels are the same as in the US (and in all of the EU, I believe)--whatever fits into a one quart (one liter) plastic bag is allowed as carry-on, but the indiv. items must be 3 oz or 100 ml or less.
I'm not up on London. If AA has their own rules, you should ask them or their website.

I can't imagine CDG would present a problem. Going through London is much more likely to present you with a hassle as you will have to conform to the strict one bag only rule. If you don't know about that, do a search here. There are lots of threads on it.

We did much the same trip recently. There was nothing at all unusual about the security at CDG. We were flying to Toronto on Air Canada and there was no screening at the gate. The check-in area was rather crowded the day we flew.

Well, if one do online check-in and doesn't have luggage, he/she can get the pre-screening (questionnaire) and secondary screening all at the same time.
