Yes time and mode of travel are important -offhand I'd say since you are going largely to large cities trains would be the best along with perhaps some cheap flights.
You would need at least a month as now to do that itinerary.

thanks, Kav.
that means that you have roughly 30 days for 12 places, or 2 ½ days in each, which allowing for an average of ½ a day to get from place to place comes down to 2 - and in the heat of August too.
What it comes down to is that, as I expected, [which is why I asked those Qs] you really don't have enough time to do it all and have some fun as well.
I would suggest picking 6 places that you most want to see and concentrate on them. You might add in the odd day trip or overnight in between your main places but 6 main stops is the max that I would try to fit into that timescale.

How are you travelling? Train, plane and the odd bus>
Lots of good info on trains:
www.bahn.de/en - easy to access rail schedules for all European trains;
www.seat61.com; www.budgeteuropetravel.com; www.ricksteves.com.
How old are you? If under 26 look at some kind of Eurail Youthpass or if over some kind of regular Eurailpass if you hit half of those places.

Zadar is not a place I'm familiar with but your route seems a little weird here - you can get from Ljubljana to Zagreb [or vice versa] on a train in about 2 hours and then it's another 3 hours by road to Zadar. What is the attraction of Zadar? There are what look like other coastal resorts closer to both Ljubljana and Zagreb - Krk for example.
They are all a long way to go to only spend a couple of days there. Krk is on an island where you could probably spend several days enjoying a relaxing time on the beach.

but then you have to get to Warsaw, and it's not really anywhere near the other places you say you want to visit.
I suggest a different approach - get a guide book or 6, particularly the Rough Guide and LonelyPlanet guides, think about what really interests you all, and look at what they suggest for 30 day itineraries.
