Any Air Sales?
I know this is regionally specific but can anyone tell me if there are historically any sales between Atlanta and Munich for flights in May? AA has a fairly decent fare posted but I hate to take it (under $700) and find out a few weeks that there is a sale for $300! Any advice?

May is the start of high season to Europe. Air prices for June are still over $1,000.
$700 is a good price, but do you really want to fly with AA in economy? Entertainment is poor, food is bad and alcohol is $5.00? Any other airline matching their price?

Most of the Airline sites will let you sign up to get e-mails of sales and discounts. Find the airlines that will work for you and register. I did that with Air France and got a fare that was half the price of what I had been seeing. Once you settle and purchase, just don't look back.

kayak.com has a great option in "buzz" where you can type in your budget and they tell you where you can fly on it......or another where they give you the avg. flight prices per month for cities. I went on in october and got a chicago-munich flight for $350 for a march trip.

Wow Kayak.com is very cool. I have been using mobissimo.com but this gives a lot more information. Looks like American may be the way to go. Wish I could get something on Lufthansa as I have heard wonderful things about them.

I got the BA sale notice too. Here is the text:
"3 days only spring sale
For 3 days only we have our winter and spring fares on sale. This means outbound travel through May 27, 2007 to your favourite European destinations are on sale: London, Paris, Prague, Athens and Milan.
Plus take advantage of our 15% discount on worldwide land products with British Airways Holidays.
With prices this low, now is the time to book your spring vacation."
Book until midnight, February 23.
(Even if Germany is not on "the list", you could probably get close. But I don't think the above list is exhaustive).

Thanks for all the ideas and websites. I will keep looking but guess I will buy in a week or so. We have got a specific window of time to make the trip and I know we are about to bump into the high season. Just trying to save a few bucks since we are also taking our 18 & 21 year old "kids". I really dread the prospect of a 24 hour day of air travel with no cheap direct flights.
