Antwerp or Brussels?

If you like museums, I'd choose Antwerp. Otherwise, I'd choose Brussels. But if I could ask for more choices, I'd prefer either Ghent or Bruges, which can be reached by train easily from Brussels (though that would probably eat up too much time).

Brussel has some great museums, beautiful Grand Place.
Antwerp is smaller, easier to see in a day.
Do you have an interest in anything in particular? Antwerp has the Rubens House, but also a fashion museum, and some good modern architecture. Without knowing your interests, it's a bit difficult to recommend one over the other.
Also, what time of year is this? If you're docking in Zeebrugge and the weather is good, you could also cycle along the coast, have a nice lunch somewhere, go to Damme.

Oh ! I forgot to be rude : in Bruxelles people speak a normal language, French !
(Tulips do you know the joke of the Flamingant who tells his Walloon friend that Flemish is THE national language in Belgium. Walloon agrees and says 'yes, the other 2 are international languages').
Ik had al lang onderweg moeten zijn, tot later !
