Be prepared NOT to have your passport stamped. We took the Eurostar from London to Paris where no one was there to stamp them on arrival. When we left Paris for the return trip to London that same evening, someone was in a little booth but waved us on. Some folks were ticked that their passports weren't stamped.
Took the train from London to Edinburgh. Same thing. Arrived at Waverly station and there was not even a booth or anything there resembling an immigration office or officer. I suppose England and Scotland being part of the same country explains that.
Anyhow, keep the passport handy.
