Thanks! I hope I'm not too late to warn you against Tony's. Don't bother. It's possible the bill is 5 euros less than some other trattorie, but it really doesn't make sense to waste a meal on this. Bollito misto (or bolliti carne) heading to other tables smelled good, but I still wouldn't bother. There are much better places in that nabe, or just take a flyer on Bissanot or La Mariposa (primi at La Mariposa, especially torteloni con burro e salvia, is infinitely better).

I don't know your level of interest in art and architecture, but Bologna is woefully and incredibly underrated as a destination for the best of both. It is also a wonderful shopping destination.
