Annual Poll: Your Top Ten Favorite European Cities!

Are we mixing big and small?
1. ROME (yes, I am shouting)
2. Paris
3. Venice
4. Amsterdam
5. Krakow
6. Palermo
7. Prague
8. Naples
9. Siena
Can't think of a tenth. There are more places I've enjoyed but I don't know if I'd put them here. I'll probably return to London someday but I'm in no hurry.

Hi guys
Can you help me. I have never been to Europe but plan to go next year. I will be starting in Brussels and want to see France Spain Amsterdam and Portugal. What do you recommend or should I avoid. To make it more difficult for you I have about 2 weeks . You're all so knowledgeable. Would appreciate your help.

From recent travel I can only think of a few:
Merida
Brussels
Kraków
Toruń
Thirty five to forty years ago I would had added:
Amsterdam
Florence
This days, when we travel we try to avoid tourist crowds like a plague.
So even though it is possible, no weekends in Paris or London, and other assorted "cheeseburger, cheeseburger" destinations.

Out of the big European or capital cities i've been to
1) Prague
2) Budapest
3) Florence
4) Amsterdam
5) Rome
6) Barcelona
7) Dresden
8) Munich
9) Berlin
10) Ljubljana
Zagreb just missed the cut for me.
Paris and Vienna are nice but they just have a vibe that I can't get into. (although Paris at night is much better)
I've also been to Athens, which is shockingly awful.
