Just got back from a similarly wonderful trip Granada-Seville-Cordoba-Madrid. I agree wholeheartedly with many of your comments.
The Alhambra is just amazing especially the Generalife gardens and I am usually not a garden fan. The road along the Darro river heading UP to the Albayzin is indeed special as is the St. Nicholas Mirador.
Also stayed in Santa Cruz Barrio but at Hotel Amadeus and just fell in love with Sevilla. I could spend a week in that neighborhood alone.
Mezmerizing is the word for the Mezquita in Cordoba.
The whole trip was truly an educational adventure too in the Christian-Islamic history of the last 1000 years!

Canuckuphereathome, many people ask what would you do differently. The one thing we would probably omit from this trip was Jaen. You're right the room was terrific, but we had no AC all night and no water for awhile. We enjoyed our meal, but the whole effort of staying for one night was a bit much. We loved the baths, but in retrospect, we probably would have added a third night to Granada and skipped Jaen. The Adalusia is an amazing adventure. Glad you liked the trip report.

Thanks for the posting. Through reading your report I relived some of my trip as well.
I was in Andalucia in Aug & Sept. I was travelling alone and I ended up taking a lot of pictures but did not keep a journal. Absolutely loved it too.
