Jed, it looks like <b>originally</b> the ones with letters in parens used to work... But, now, it requires them in double parens.
So, before, it used to be (s) but, now it's ... I think they did that on purpose, because people do things like:
"95 degrees (f)", or "I think what I'm looking for is in France (?)"
Which was getting rendered as:
"95 degrees ", or "I think what I'm looking for is in France ".
