Amsterdam: Recommendations on places to visit and eat
Hello all,
we are headed to amsterdam in a few weeks and will be there for about 1 week. Looking for recommendations on where to eat and places to visit. We are up for some day trips outside of amsterdam as well.
Thanks in advance!

Don't miss the Van Gogh Museum, the Anne Frank House, the Vondelpark, the Rijksmuseum, the Rembrandt Museum, the Royal Palace and, of course, the Heineken Experience
. For trips outside Amsterdam, I would suggest Leiden, Bruges and Zaanse Schans.

we enjoyed bird restaurant, and jaime oliver's 15 for dinner.
House of Bols was very cool and entertaining for a post lunch visit.
Be sure to get your tickets to Anne Franck house as early as possible, and the lines do go around the block. And please note, it's is for the able bodied only, it's not easy to maneuver about once inside. (steep stairs, small spaces, etc...)
