Bob
So as not to be rushed when you get there, why not check with your local bank to see if they can get you some Amsterdam currency before you go. I know here one bank, where we have an account, does not charge for foreign currency. We usually get a couple hundred for the first country we hit so that it is not a rush to find the machine and can tip or taxi whatever to our accomodations/car rental etc.

Hi Bob:
Just got back from Amsterdam, 2 weeks ago. While waiting for luggage, there are several ATM machines right there. Took care of business, turned around and the luggage was there.
www.schipol.nl is the website you asked for. Have a wonderful time in one of my favorite cites!

I like to order my foreign currency ahead of time. Call 888-Chase84 and mention source code 6000. It's called "Currency to Go". If you charge $500 in foreign currency, there's no finance charge; just shipping (about $10). It works like a charm and the money is delivered to your door in a couple of days. We're leaving for Amsterdam this Saturday and I'm ordering my guilders when I log off. P.S. You'll love Amsterdam. We'll have been there 3 times in four years! Enjoy.

Go to www.currency-to-go.com
You can get as little as $100 and be charged $10 for shipping or get $500 with no charge.
You use your credit card and it shows on your statement as a purchase not a cash advance.
You may also use www.oanda.com but it will be cash advance so charges could be really high
