Amboise - Le Clos D'Amboise Hotel

Has anyone stayed at this hotel in Amboise, France?
Thanks for any other suggestions for lodging here, also.

We decided on le Manoir les Minimes, partly because we rented a car for the first time, and this hotel doesn't require driving through town. Of course, now having been there, it wouldn't have been a huge problem to drive into the town but we did like the ease of entry /exit from the D-road right into the courtyard.

Not in AMboise but quite close by is a lovely country house hotel with an excellent restaurant. It is set in the countryside in beautiful grounds . http://www.domainehautsloire.com/

We've always enjoyed staying there and it is very central for visiting the chateaux

I looked into le Manoir les Minimes but they had no vacancies for our days. It looked great though.
I'll check out your suggestion, Avalon. Thank you.

I wasn't second-guessing your choice of Le Clos d'Amboise. It looks very nice and gets good reviews on Tripadvisor.

Hi, we stayed at Le Clos d'Amboise in October 2007. All 4 of us (me, my husband, and my parents) liked it. Here's my review (scroll down a little):
