Yup, Amazing Race 10 premiere is Sunday, September 17 at 8:30PM. Hopefully it will be a good race!

And this one will also run into MLB playoffs and the World Series.

They want to kill it.

No loss to me, I stopped watching 2 series ago when it became obvious that the producers blatantly manipulate the race!

I hated the time shift in the middle of last season. I forgot to watch a few episodes--but DAMN IT! there goes my angle to be the first Muslim on TAR--but of course it's GUYS, (I just hope they're not jacka** drama mongers) I guess my friend and I can try again, we bring enough diversity for anything haha.

I'm actually glad that the cast isn't so freaking white--but i would have been glad if it wasn't such a blatant oooh we're diverse play.

I'll still watch, but I loved the Tuesday time slot.

Sundays work great for me. Regarding manipulating the program -- all the shows are manipulated. Afterall, it's entertainment!

With the football overages, I should be able to watch both The Simpsons and TAR without have to record one. At least Fox doesn't start programing until 7:30 on football Sundays.

I see they've gone back to having a ton of models and beauty queens as contestants. They might be pretty, but are they good tv or good racers?

I think the one team is a striaght dad and gay daughter rather than a gay couple.

They sorta did that gay couple thing in the last series and they were first to be elimanated (fat gay guy acting like a queen and his friend who insisted wasn't gay despite them both being shown walking large dogs together and kinda hugging in the pre-game bit). Even those two ghastly old, tall ladies beat them.

I really hope it doesn't turn into jiggle T&A TV like Fear Factor did (not that I watched that awful show!)

Maybe TRA already has and I am in denial. I'll miss the Tuesday time slot.

Was surprised they won the Emmy again. I thought the family fiasco race would have done them in. I know a lot of people stopped watching with that race. Last race was definitely an improvement!

Looking forward to the new season with mixed enthusiasm, if that makes sense. I hate the new time slot, both day and time. The season opener is the night we'll be staying at a park & fly hotel near SFO and taking off the next day. Will try to watch it. Will be the first time we've flown since the new regs are in. Wish us luck!

They didn't submit anything from the "Family Fiasco" for an Emmy. It was an episode from TAR 9.

Tony, there's also a gay couple.

Isn't a gay TAR contestant now dating Lance Bass or somebody like that?

Reichen, along with then partner Chip were the winners of season 2/3.

I'll continue to watch the show, but not a fan of the Sunday time slot. Nice twist of starting west and working back from that point. The Asian destinations seem like the most challenging and not just physically. Loved last seasons Oman episodes. It's time to show some new locations, however beautiful Australia/New Zealand, or eye opening India may be. I hope the Cleveland boys represent my hometown well!

My point with the "family fiasco" was simply that they had lost a lot of previous viewers and thus some of their previous popularity, not that anything from that race "was submitted" whatever that means.

Excuse this unrelated issue but I need to speak with luvtotravel about their experience at the Piccolo Hotel de Valle in Pienza.

luvtotravel, if you see this I would love your help.

TAR usually runs on a weekday evening here in Australia.

Giovanna, "was submitted" refers to whichever episode the producers gave the Emmy judges to view for consideration for an Emmy. The judges don't watch the entire season of anything. The producers of any TV show which wants to be considered for an Emmy submit an episode of their choice for consideration. I'm sorry you didn't understand that. I thought it was pretty common knowledge.

And I don't think popularity in ratings has anything at all to do with Emmy winnning.

I like the new time slot, and I think a lot of families who watch TV together might too. There are so few shows you can watch with the kids.

I'm curious about how baseball impacts watching on a Sunday night. Don't they play baseball, even the World Series, on week nights as well?
