Amalfi Itinerary
We are going to be in Amalfi for 5 days from October 2-7. Staying at the Santa Caterina. Has anybody heard of the cooking classes available in the area? Is that time of year a good time to be there?

Hi Mark
>Is that time of year a good time to be there?<
It's too late to back out now.
Weather will be pleasantly cool. Might be warm enough to swim. Far fewer tourists than there are today.
Today's temp in Sorrento was 97 F.

Take a look at weatherbase.com, it will give you averages and highs and lows as well as precip.
Early Oct would be glorious, IMO. I was last there in mid-Sept and it was very warm. It may be cooler in early Oct, but restaurants etc will still be open; they close down towards the end of the month. You should be fine in early Oct.
Love the Santa Caterina! Have you contacted them about cooking classes? They got concert tickets for us and also helped us arrange for a boat hire for the day. They should be able to give you recommendations.
