Amalfi, Italy hostel - recommendation for college aged traveler?

Looking for options for our daughter. She will be traveling to Amalfi with friends and prefers to stay in a hostel. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Does she want to stay in the town of Amalfi or somewhere on the Amalfi Coast? Would she consider a monastery or convent?

Prefers the town of Amalfi, but close by would probably work, too. She wants to be with other traveling student-types if possible. Thanks

Hey, I live right now in Naples, the biggest city near Amalfi. unfortunately there isn't a hostel in Amalfi, but there is a great one close-by in Sorrento (which is also a great place to explore the coast from). The name is Seven Hostel, here is a link to their booking platform: http://www.famoushostels.com/sorrento-hostel

Or, if you are 'college-aged' I would actually stay in Naples. It gets a lot of bad press but I have been living here for four years and love it and for a young person there's wayyyyyy more to do and actually it's a lot cheaper too!!! Not to mention it's the home of the Pizza

Check out this hostel: http://www.famoushostels.com/naples-hostel You'll find it right in front of the port where the buses leave to go down to Amalfi every day.

If it was me this is what I would do!!

yep it's called La Brikette, it's not bad! Again, for a college aged person Positano is great for a day trip but can become expensive and is more popular with older people with some money to spend on nice restaurants and shopping

You/she can walk to Amalfi from Atrani; shared rooms from 25-30 euro according to their website:

Hi

Try the A’Scalinatella Hostel - http://www.hostelscalinatella.com. I stayed at the Hostel Brikette in Positano and loved it. Incredible views. I don't know if it's still operating. Their website was - http://brikette.com - but it's been inactive for quite awhile now.

Brikette has a new website. They are also on Facebook (under Hostel Brikette Positano).

There used to be a hotel on Capri also, but it would be hard to get around from there if the plan is to visit things on the coast.
