Amalfi Coast in Early October

Is it better to visit the Amalfi Coast in July or October?

My husband and I are trying to plan some vacations. Here is out situation:

1. My husband just had 2 knee surgeries (minor) which will require a month of physical therapy (not sure if walking trips in Europe would be a great idea right now)

2. We would like to take 2 trips this year - the Amalfi Coast and Anguilla. My travel agent said to go to Anguilla in July and Italy in Oct -- I am just not sure about the weather in both places - Will it be too humid in Anguilla - will it be too cold to take advantage of everything in Oct in Italy?

3. We are also planning a small trip to California for my husband's great aunt's 100th birthday in July. Right now we are only planning to go thurs - sun (from NYC) but could make a vacation out of this trip (I'm not crazy about this idea because we did a similar trip a few years back).

What do you think we should do?

thanks

July will be very crowded on the Amalfi Coast. October should be very nice. I have been there in September and there were very very hot days, and rainy days when I needed a light jacket. Go to weather.com and you can get the averages. Enjoy - this is my favorite area!

I would definately vote for the Amalfi Coast in October. The weather in Anguilla will pretty much remain the same. Your husband will definately need to walk more in Italy. In Anguilla, much less walking necessary.
Have great trips!!
