While I'll happily assist with anyone's forthcoming visit, since that's not the case in this instance, I'd prefer to do the same as with the earlier request for an account of our life choices - and decline that opportunity, thank you!
This though may give an idea of the composition of the island's visitors...

Hm, those figures seem to bear no relation to the Italian State Tourist Board's figures : "Ischia has 2,400,000 visitors a year (about 700,000 of whom are foreigners)". I would be surprised if the number of Germans was only a tenth the number of Italians - each time we've been there seemed to be at least as many Germans as Italians. Maybe it's just the time of year we travel. Presumably the number would have been even higher in the days when the German health service paid for its citizens to visit spas there ! Sigh...

Hm indeed... but, sadly for Ischia's hoteliers, you're mistaken by a factor of almost five...
The figures you've found show the total number of visits to the island's spas, rather than visitors to the island.
For those, look here instead:

("Arrivi" shows the number of people arriving, "Presenze" tells the total number of nights they stayed.)
I've marked our six Comune, part of the Naples province whose combined total - including Sorrento and the city itself - amounted to only 1.5 million Italians, and 1.1 million foreigners....
The original of that table can be seen in the latest report from the Campania Regione's statistics office, available here...

And - from figures published in the island's newspaper over the years - this one shows the spread of Italian and foreign visitors by month...
