Alpieagles Flights from Naples to Venice
Just checked that there are two flights available on the date I want. The first flight departs at 07:15 and arrive at 08:30 in the morning while the second one departs at 20:30 and arrive at 21:45 in the evening.
Neither is the most convenient. But what would be a more sensible choice? What are your experiences and suggestions?

You've just learned that some of these airlines exist for business purposes and allow business people to arrive for a complete day or leave after one. I'd opt for getting up at the crack of dawn (or earlier) and doing that early flight. Arriving too late at night and then having to get into Venice wouldn't put me in the best mood.

Thanks for the tips!
I just realised I have another problem, though. The baggage allowance is 15kg per person. With all the stuff for the wedding and the honeymoon, I am not sure if we could make it.
I found an alternative on alitalia which allows baggage up to 20kg but am a bit worried with any possible strike that I read about in this forum. Is that common? Is it reliable enough for punctuality?

We flew Alpieagles from Naples to Nice in July and they didn't even blink an eye at my over-weight luggage. No extra charge, no comment - nothing. Wished I had bought a few more things in Sorrento! By the way, someone had mentioned to us that they usually depart late for flights and that was the case with ours.

I would also opt for the morning flight as you have a better chance of departing on time.
5 kg is about 11 pounds, so the baggage allowance between Alpi and Alitalia is not great. Alpi will allow you to bring all the luggage you want, they just may charge you for the overage (or as noted above may not); however even paying excess baggage charges in my experience works out cheaper than the higher Alitalia prices. There is also always the danger that Alitalia will be on strike the day of your flight. . . .

Are the Alpieagles flights cheap enough to make the inconvenient hours worthwhile ? Be warned - I just checked the reverse journey for June 25th & while the price initially shows as E9, the total cost is actually E106.94, comprising

"flight: € 18,00; Default description to be modified: € 13,74; Security Baggage Charge: € 3,50; Security charge: € 3,62; VAT on imbarcation taxes: € 2,28; Council City: € 2,00; Crisis Tax: € 24,00; Fuel Surcharge: € 34,80; transaction charge: € 5,00; fee: € € 0,00".
Not cheap enough, in my book, to get an inconvenient flight.

Thanks for all your info. I should have mentioned that I also checked a one-way flight by Alitalia and it's 20 euros more per person, which seems to be acceptable since it offers more baggage limit and convenient departure time. My worry is about their strike. Is that very common? Or should I just go with Alpieagles?
