Alpi Eagles luggage limit question

We decided to fly AlpiEagles from Naples to Nice instead of driving. If you have flown this airline, could you give us some information?

The "hand baggage" limit is one bag not exceeding 5 kilos. Does a purse count as that bag or can I take a carry-on and my purse? The checked baggage allowance is 2 pieces per passenger, weight not exceeding 15 kilos. Is this per bag or total? How strict are they with these weight limits?

I hate to admit it here (be kind, please), but I cannot pack light like a Fodorite. I've tried, but I just cannot do it. We will be in Europe (Rome, Sorrento, Villefranche-sur-mer, Paris) for 24 days and I don't want to wear the same things over and over, nor do I want to spend all my time washing clothes. I will pare down what I usually take, but I think I will still end up being over the limit.

So, if you have any experience flying this airline without all your stuff in your pockets and a small Ziploc bag carry-on, could you let me know how it worked out for you?

Thanks.

Topping once more - perhaps the weekday visitors here may have some personal experience with this airline. We called but the person we talked to spoke very little English and I speak very little Italian so we didn't get any clarification or answers. We did find out that you cannot buy business class seats online and that they cost about 200 euros more per ticket. Online,we read that baggage weight limits for business class is 30 kilos per checked bag. Not wanting to pay 400 euros more, we will most likey have to pay the fee for going over the limit, if we do. I just want to know if anyone has any info regarding how strict they are with this.

Thanks for any help you may be able to give to us.

Am topping this for you again in hopes someone will see it later today.

Don't assume that "all Fodorites pack light"..if they did and they used this airline you'd have had many more responses by now.

Good luck

I am surprised that no one has responded, Singletail. I hope we made the right decision to not drive. We didn't want to take a train and this was jsut about the only reasonable way to do it. I have done some research on this site and people have used this airline or have at least asked questions about it. Out of the 50,000 people registered here, there must be a few who have used this airline. Hopefully, someone will see the question and have some information for us.
