Alpi Eagles Airlines?? Anyone flown this??

I found a killer deal from Venice to Naples on "Alpi Eagles" Airlines ($28.00 one way).

What the heck is this?? LOL!! Has anyone ever flown it?

I imagine it is just a small start-up airline, which I don't mind, but I do wonder about its size, safety, etc.

Any feedback? Thanks!!!

Lisa

I've never flown them, but I believe Alpe Eagles are the main operator on the Naples-Venice route besides Alitalia. Book it quick!

They have been around for at least 2 years, maybe more. I remember seeing a picture of their Fokker 100 (I think) that was painted a bright, flourescent orange on the tail.

We've flown on Alpi from Palermo to Venice about 2 years ago. I think they are basically a no-frills airline similar to our Southwest -- very efficient and on-time. I would grab that fare.

If you can read Italian, you can find consumer opinions on this airline on www.dooyoo.it

I took the opposite flight last September. Naples to Venice. I thought Alpi Eagles was great. They're as nice as any domestic american flight I've taken. I think we paid $99 for a 1 way to Venice. The train was about 70, so fo 30 bucks we saved 8 hours of travel.

Good luck,

Hi Little Traveler: I and a family group of 8 others flew Alpi Eagle from Venice to Sicily and were very pleased. The flight was smooth, professional and they even served food. Very little english was spoken by the crew, but it was not a problem even with our minimal italian. Go for it.
