hi ann, I knew that I couldn't get in until after 2pm. But since I arrived early, I decided to give it a try and see if I could.
But as for the poster nevertooold, I wouldn't want him/her to assume the morning ticket is good for entry the entire day, as he/she may end up being denied entry after 2pm. That would be tragic, wouldn't it?

Yk,
I agree. The morning session ticket isn't good for * entry* during the afternoon (2 pm and beyond) to the 3 areas in which it's scanned by a guard with hand-held device. These are
Alcazaba
Nasrid Palace apartments
Generalife (the walkway up to it)
So with the morning ticket you may enter all of the above 3 from 8:30 until 2 pm, then you may stay in them as long as you like. But you must enter these 3 before the morning ticket expires.
One can visit the "free" areas that yk and Alec mention above at any time during opening hours, morning or afternoon, since your ticket is not scanned at these points.

i didnt book my alhambra tickets until it was too late. its all sold out now. i guess my only option is to take a guided tour @ 50 euro pp. the thing is though, being that im staying in malaga and have a car, are there any tour companies offering afternoon tours? the only ones ive seen were in the morning? any help would be greatly appreciated (id like to visit either august 17 or preferably the 18th)
