Alhambra at the end of November?????

What do you think about that?

I love the Alhambra but I have been a couple of times in summer time and the gardens are beautiful, do you think is a good idea to visit in winter time?

I was there one November and the gardens seemed to still be alive and gorgeous. Only the mobs of tourists were missing.

I was there for the first time in the middle of January and fell in love with it. Palenque is right about the lack of crowds.

I bought a copy of the Tales of the Alhambra by Washington Irving, and I think that reading it really lends to the experience.

My host dad made it a point for us to go in all 4 seasons and it is just makes you love it even more. I actually think that Fall is the best time to visit for seeing the architecture and late Spring for the plants.

I have been at different times, in the middle of Winter it was indeed worth it. No people around, in those days at that time of the year , several gipsys were around offering flowers and cursing some people.

I was there in November, both day and night, and it was well worth it, although the gardens were much nicer when we were there in Spring.

We're also be there in late November/early december. Looking at the alhambra website, it seemed that you had to take a guided tour in order to see it at night. I know a few have said seeing it at night is a must. Anyone know if this is true, or can we walk the alhambra at night with our general admission?

Also, I've read of some private tour groups that do alhambra tours. Are these better than the alhambra offered ones? Do they run at night?

We are considering taking a group tour out of Sevilla, instead of staying in Granada (it's either that or the 6 hour train ride from Granada to Madrid) Is the extra time in Granada/seeing it at night worth the long train ride? Anyone recommend any of those tour companies?

Speaking of which, we are going to do a group bus tour from Seville down to Jerez and Cadiz, any advice on which tour group (i've found at least two)?

Thanks all.
