Airport transfers

We will need a car service to take us from and to Heathrow / London center. Can anyone recommend a economical reliable operator ?
Secondly, we hope to have a rental cell phone, but if we had no phone, would that be a problem for the service?

No problem not having a phone. The driver will meet you with a sign with your name on it (usually on an iPad but sometimes just a large card)

Actually once several years ago I didn't have a phone and couldn't find my driver (once out of maybe 30+ times) and I easily found another 'waitee' who let me make a call on his phone)

It’s usually true that not all companies listed on Google for any industry are ok.

We have us3 just airports very successfully with no problem, And there’s also a newer service a bit more pricey called Wheely. Same set up – you book online and the driver has a card with your name on it. Worked well for our last trip last month.

Regarding to cellphone, do you have an unlocked smartphone from home to bring with you?
We bought a Vodafone SIM card in London for 10 British pound last May, and that gave us 3GB of data as well as x minutes of calling. It was the best spent 10 GBP of the trip.
There are many Vodafone retail stores in London. A clerk will install it in your smartphone and activate it for you without extra charge.

Sorry Janis, only just noticed the justairports name on your post.
Thanks reading, but we are probably the only people on earth with no smart phone, so no go.
