Airport Shuttle in Rome

Has anyone used the Airport Shuttle Service (http://www.airportshuttle.it/) from Fiumicino airport? This is a shuttle service that charges 25 euros for the first passenger and 6 for an extra passenger. (We arrive after an early morning flight, we'll be tired and we want door to door service to the hotel...) I've read some good reports but I want to make sure before paying up front. Thanks.

Used Rome Cabs a month ago. Excellent service in all respects.

Is that a private car or a shared shuttle? I've only used limoservice rome and offical taxis. If it;s a shared shuttle you might be driving all over town before being dropped off.

+1 Rome Cabs. 45€ FCO to Hilton Cavalieri. On time, efficient, calm driver & friendly.

Taxis are a set fee from the airport of 40€ for four people including luggage.

There are plenty of reviews for Rome Shuttle Limousine (also 40€)if you put it in the search function.

We just returned from Rome last month. We used Airport Shuttle Express both to and from FCO. They are not only less expensive than some of the other services, they are also reliable and honest -- beyond reproach.

I left my purse in the van from FCO to our hotel in Rome. Everything important was in the purse, including my passport, itinerary, credit cards, money. Of course, I was totally panicked. Within an hour, they had returned my purse to the hotel, intact.

Needless to say, I have nothing but raves for this company.

Yes, we used RSL to and from the airport. Very prompt, early both times, and courteous. Helpful with the luggage also. I would definitely use them again.

This thread is a year old and they discussed increasing the rate for almost a year, but I believe it's finally increased although the Rome Tourist Board still lists it as 40€ as does the airport website.

Just in case anyone is considering using http://www.airportshuttle.it/, I strongly recommend that you DON'T. I made (and paid for) my booking well in advance and confirmed the reservation. They, however, did not show up, have been nearly completely unresponsive to emails, do not answer phone calls, and have not refunded the payment. Essentially, they're thieves.

The reliable airport transfer services don't require payment in advance. They take your credit card and flight information in case you're a no-show, which means your flight arrived but you didn't appear.
