Air fare to Paris ..I'm so excited
We made the decision to celebrate our 25th anniverary at our honeymoon destination. FRANCE
I've been searching for "cheap" (or at least what I'm willing to pay) air fare to CDG or TLS for July 2009. 1800flyeurope.com had been coming in at $1020 rt pp BOS-TLS.
This morning "airfare watchdog" came through...$722 r/t PP via Aer lingus via BOS w/ tax etc. I quickly checked voyages-sncf for prices to Cahors from Paris and from St Jean Pied de Port to Paris and with todays exchange rate I was still $400 to the good. BOUGHT'EM...
The purpose of this post...check out Aer Lingus, they may have routing at a price you want to pay.
In the summer we've time to spare, so an extra day on tgv is not an issue!
We are headed to Cahors to continue our walk on the Way of St James.
Think Pointer Sisters, "I'm so excited"

Okay - - so it looks pretty clear that as of this week, Aer Lingus is the genius find for _coach_ class flights you can book right now for this summer...
...so who has any birhgt ideas for "better-priced" (I won't say "bargain"
fares in the front of the plane - - any airline... almost any destination (Western Europe) from almost anywhere east of the Mississippi?
Major good karma to anyone with a sub $2000 idea...
(or less than $1600 for NYC-LON, since I would have to add on a fair amount at both ends for that. AF rack rate today is $2335)
Best wishes,
Rex
p.s. and for those seeking coach seats, note that BMI, DL, USAir and AF are "quasi"-matching AerLingus on some Dublin routes - - all under $1000 from NYC, for example (compared to $508 for Aer Lingus).

Thanks, margaret... do you know if they operate the same aircraft JFK-AMS as they do for their Paris service?
This sounds like they do (or at least similar)...
https://www.flyopenskies.com/os/docs..._final.doc.pdf
(the AMS route is operated by their BA partner, "OpenSkies"
...very interesting.
