momincy,
Just some move comments.
You are driving twice to Jerez, once on the 20th, for the Equestrian school, an absolute must in my opinion. And again on the 22 Dec on your way to Arcos. Why don't you stay the afternoon of the 20 th in Jerez and do the wine tasting that same afternoon.
I find a bit short the time you want to dedicate to Sevilla while the Ronda and Arcos seem too much, of course comparatively.
Gibraltar,I don't like the place, and I wonder what will be there to do in Dec 24th.
And try to see also the Mezquita in Cordoba instead of The one in Toledo, still to be built.LOL.
Have fun.

I see a number of places to cut back, but I accept that you probably think you "won't ever be back..."

At a bare minimum, I would drop Gibralter.

Agree about dropping Gibraltar & also about combining the time in Jerez if you can swing it.

i am not familiar with your daughter´s situation in alicante, but unless she has some special things/people you will be spending time with, i would consider after 2 nights coming up to valencia.. for a night or two before lisbon.

would also drop gibralter.

Spend more time in Seville if possible. Also we were not too impressed with Ronda due to the large crowds on a Friday in early June of this year. We stayed at Los Costanos outside of Ronda in a white village and I would recommend this hotel highly. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Spain.

I'd skip the Gibralter trip (and a night in Ronda) and add the night to Sevilla. I'd also combine the Jerez sherry tasting daytrip with the Royal Andalusian trip. I'd also skip the car and take the train or bus from Sevilla to Jerez. Service is frequent and driving into Jerez is not easy - it's a maze. You won't have to worry about drinking and driving and can spend the day just enjoying Jerez.

I'm not sure about holiday traffic around Christmas and New Years but if this is a possibility you're covering alot of ground in a short time.

Also, is there a specific reason to visit Lisbon? You're really only giving yourself 1 full day in Lisbon - not alot of time.

even at christmas, you shouild probably make your reservations for the alhambra in advance.

and yet again I'm plugging the evening visit as well - it's wonderfully romantic and beautiful.
