Affordable B&B needed in Amsterdam

Hi - I'm putting together a somewhat last minute trip to Europe with my husband and we're trying to find accommodations in Amsterdam for early April (unfortunately the week just before Easter...it just sort of worked out that way). I've been contacting quite a few B&Bs - but no luck yet. We'd love to find a clean eclectic place with friendly hosts and just around or under 100 euros per night.

Anyone have any hidden gems they could let me know about?

Thanks!

Not quite what you describe but if you get stuck, check out Hotel Kap. It worked well for me, nice breakfast in pleasant dining room included. www.kaphotel.nl

There are quite a few B&Bs and apartments on the Tripadvisor website for Amsterdam... Look under the "hotels" link, then the tab for "specialty lodging". That way, you can read the reviews. I'd then use Google to get the actual websites.

Thanks everyone, I ended up booking an apartment (all the nice affordable B&B's that got back to me had no availability for Good Friday) - a little out of my budget (125 euro - although we found out we'll be staying in dorms for another leg of our trip so that should help make up for it), but seems like a good deal - good locale, clean, bright, washer/dryer - all with great reviews on tripadvisor: http://www.herenstraat.com/

Also wanted to put out there a great site one of the B&B owners sent me for searching for B&Bs: http://bed-and-breakfast.avvie.eu/
