Wow!!!! Too much. When are you planning on doing this and I suggest REALLY rethinking what you want to see. To say this is whirlwind is an overstatement!

Yes, you're trying to do way, way too much. Your teenagers will stage a coup within the first 3 days.

My advice: spend all 7 days in Rome.

I will say 4 days Rome and 3 Florence with a Pisa half day trip while you're there.
Anyway, the option of being 7 days in Rome is also very good.
Above all..take it easy, don't try to do such an enormous amount of things !!

Pick two places at most for your 7 days. Don't forget that you'll lose the first day to travel and settling in. Four days in Rome and 3 in Florence with a day trip to Pisa sounds very good to me. Save the Amalfi Coast for your next trip to Italy.

By the way, when are you going? And what is your budget for hotels? Thanks!

prkrishnan, you're kidding us, right?

Definitely change to 4 nights in Rome, followed by 3 nights in Venice.

Unless you can go through some kind of time warp and make 1 day equal to a thousand nights...

Yes, thank you TuckH UNDERstatement. Did I mention that we had just started our second pitcher of lynchburg lemonades!

Wild!! Seriously, are you kidding us? As others have said, spend the 7 days in Rome with a couple of side trips - how about Ostia Antica? If you really must go another place, fly into Rome, spend 4 days, train to Florence or Venice, spend 3 days and fly out of Florence or Venice.

Hi pr,

As noted, 7 days is a short time.

I would choose among,

Venice 3 and Florence 4
Venice 3 and Rome 4
Venice 7 with visits to Verona, Padua and Bologna
Amalfi Coast 7
Rome 7
