Ozarksbill, Thanks for the input. I'm putting those ideas down for my visit. My buddy really wants to do Guinness, so thats why we are going.
Also, how should I prepare for the jetlag? What do you all do? Should I try to sleep earlier on my first night there?

Not everyone suffers from jetlag. I very rarely do. Although I'm usually a bit exhausted after a long trip, I have no trouble adjusting to local time.
Most people recommend staying outdoors on the first day, because the light apparently helps to reset your internal clock. It's also recommended that you don't take a nap, or at least not for more than half an hour.
I think it would be a good idea to try to get your schedule as close as possible to the new time zone in the week before you leave. If possible, before travelling from North America to Europe, go to bed a few hours earlier and get up a few hours earlier for a week. You could reduce a five-hour time zone change to two or three hours.
