Advice - Tuscany reservations

You all have wonderful ideas and hope you can help me make a decision, because I have to finalize B&B reservations. Here's the situation:

Planned on staying 4 nights in Tuscany - 2 in Chianti, 2 in Southern Tuscany. Arriving on a wens in tuscany. So would be:
Wens & Thurs one location and
Fri & Sat another.

I have been to chianti before and have no issue with getting reservations - but I really want to stay at Amorosa while in southern Tuscany, but this is their availability: thur and friday only, so it would be day 2nd 3 in Tuscany, in the middle! What do I do with the other days? go back and forth to Chianti? Amorosa does have a suite on sat but is more than 2x the other room cost.
Does it make sense to do one night in chianti, two at Amorosa and another someplace else?

Please share your thoughts and suggestions.

Thanks

Hi Vino,

>.. go back and forth to Chianti?<

No.

You don't tell us about anything else. Are these 4 days your whole visit?

Hi Ira,
Not my first trip to Italy, but my 2nd to Tuscany, and first to south tuscany. We will be in amalfi coast and veneto for rest of trip, which is all set. Tuscany is smack in the middle.

Hi vino,

Can you rearrange your Chianti dates so that you do Amorosa and then Chianti?

If not, How about 1 night in Chianti, 2 nights at the Amorosa and one night in Castiglione del Lago.

I never let hotel reservations decide my itinerary. Amorosa is lovely, but not the best location for south Tuscany--there are better options. Why jump thru hoops to accommodate a given hotel--always let location decide for you. Holler if you want more choices.

Ira, I would be very willing to switch the days in chianti, but there is no availability on the wens either.

Bob - I have looked into the following: Castello velona - a little too much$ with the Euro increasing; Il Patriarca, which is not really in the setting my DH wants; and Villa Poggiano - I think is in the country setting my DH wants.

Any other suggestions?

Of course !
www.lasaracina.it
www.tuscany.net/letraverse
www.palazzodelcapitano.com
www.tuscany.net/oliviera

Those are the locations you want. Amorosa is on the edge of Chianti and not as far south. Frankly, I would drive thru Chianti one day and stay all 4 nites at one location.
