The camcorder battery ("brick"
should say on it whether it is 110-240 or "just" 110-120 (i.e. for US use only). If it is 110-240, then all you need is an adapter, which costs 2-3 bucks max once you get there.
If it is 110-120 only, the conventional wisdom is that a convertor may not work well with a camcorder battery because of sophisticated voltage/wattage requirements.
The palce you bought it might be better equipped to answer this question, if that's the case.
Best wishes,
Rex

If you only need an adaptor you might check at a local Radio Shack or travel store (if you have time before you leave) and pick up a "continental plug" (two round pins) rather than waiting and trying to get one there...sometimes travel stores at larger airports will carry them, also.

Hi
Sicily operates on 220V. As rex said you have to see if your power supply is 110 - 240 or only 110-120.
If it is the latter, you will need a converter as well as an adapter.
Do you recharge your battery through the camcorder or do you remove the battery (ies) and charge them in a different device?
If the latter, a converter and adapter will be fine. If the former, there could be problems with the difference in line frequency - 60 Hz in US, 50 Hz in Europe.
