Accommodations in Varenna

Does anyone have suggestions for staying in Varenna. I have not been able to find any hotels. Should I be looking at another location close by? We will be there at the end of June.
Thank you.

Last September I stayed at Hotel Du Lac in Varenna. Then a week later I stayed 2 nights at Bellagio. I prefer Bellagio. I stayed at a very nice hotel, but it is not on the water and there are many shallow steps to get to the hotel. Hotel Centrale Bellagio-air conditioned(you control), clean, nice room and a great breakfast.

If you search under Varenna and Lake Como you will also find information on hotels. I did lots of research that way last year and we ended staying at the Hotel Du Lac in Varenna. I loved it and preferred Varenna to Bellagio. Have fun.

I liked my stay at Eremo Guadio, but I wouldn't book there unless they have a terrace room available or if you are afraid of heights.

If you use the Venere.com website, you can plug in your travel dates to see what is available and read user reviews.

We really enjoyed our stay at Albergo Milano, http://www.varenna.net. It's a small hotel. The rooms are small but nicely appointed, and the views are gorgeous. We stayed in two different rooms -- one had a sizable terrace overlooking the lake; the other was a side room with a tiny terrace that was also quite pleasant. The restaurant was good, too.
