Accommodations in Paros
We are thinking of spending a week on the island of Paros in late May and are looking for suggestions regarding renting a house/villa.
We have heard that there are vendors at the ferry terminal offering these type of accommodations for rent, is this a viable option?
Thanks
Larry

Congratulations on your choice of Paros - it was a place I happened upon this summer and, man, I can't stop talking about it to friends.
OK - it does depend what you are looking for. We ended up staying in Naosseau (sp?) which is a charming, relaxing town, but wakes up at night with some great nightlife (great balance of charm and late night fun). Someone told me that its nightlife is second only to Mykonos on Greek Isles (but don't get me wrong, the nightlife does not intrude on its charm).
Some people stay in the port town of Paros, buta port town is a port town. Also, there are a lot of remote beaches, which were really something - though we preferred to visit them on day trips - kind of reminded of beachscapes in the movie Sex & Lucia.
In Naosseau, we stayed at a villa - though when I go back, I might look for a place along the old sea port. Sorry, don't know the names, but maybe something will come up in your research.

just returned from Paros, great island. We stayed at Yria Hotel. Great pool, lobby, bar, resturant, view. You may want to research the place pre-trip to see what you are getting. Rent a motor bike and explore it all. Don't miss all the fabulous beaches.
