accommodation on Santorini?
Hello. Does anyone have a favorite and not-too-expensive recommendation for Santorini? I'd like the classic caldera view, of course. I was told about a B&B called Petit Greek, where a friend stayed a few years ago, but I can't find it anywhere. Katikies sounds wonderful, but it's way beyond my price range. Also, what about Naxos? Any suggestions as to where to stay?
Thanks for any help!

Everything I've heard about the Thea Studios in Oia make it sound like a very attractive possibility for you.
If you try to contact them and don't hear back right away it only means they're not yet processing their requests for the upcoming season. Keep trying, it shouldn't be too much longer.

This was all I was able to find on "Le Petit Greek" in Fira:
LE PETIT GREEK BED&BREAKFAST--356 Catholica, Thira, Santorini--Reservations: USA 001-310-657-5932--Fax: 001-213-962-5935

Hi
I'm not an authority on accommodation on Santorini but I'm not aware of any B&Bs (Pensions yes) there let alone the Petit Greek. You need to state your budget in euros, when you are going and how many of you are there.
We stayed at the Grotto Villas - http://www.santonet.com/hotels/grotto/ in Firostefani from which it is a short stroll into Fira. They were great but unfortunately they have really jacked up the prices. You could try a studio at the Blue Dolphins - http://www.bluedolphins.gr/. In high season at €76 including breakfast this strikes me as a good deal. There is the Langas Villas in Imerovigli, one village up from Firostefani and a long walk into Fira, at €120 - http://www.united-hellas.com/greece-...las/index.html. We had spectacular caldera views from Firostefani and Imerovigli is even higher up.
Hope this helps.

I'll echo the often repeated recommendation for Loucas, right on the caldera in Fira.

In Santorini I've stayed at Esperas which is really popular on this board and on my other trips to the island I didn't stay on the caldera but on the beach. Last year in Naxos I stayed at the Hotel Glaros which I thought was great and in a super position http://www.hotelglaros.com/. Naxos is a great island, lots to see and do.
