Absentee Voting in US Election

For US citizens living abroad who are not registered to vote, Congress enacted a law in 2002 that should make it possible for you to vote absentee in the upcoming Presidential election, even if you haven't lived as a resident in the US for some time. Here is a website that tells you how to start the process:
http://www.fvap.gov/
And more specifically:
http://www.fvap.gov/laws/legal.html#2

There isn't much time, as absentee ballots must be requested several weeks in advance. Go for it!

I did it several weeks ago through the site and it works well... easy to fax in the forms (depending on the state - I was last registered, like over 25 years ago, in Broward County, Florida).

I'm even receiving publicity mail here in France from candidates for school board members and county sheriff !

This is only true if you are going to vote Democrat!

Cheers,
Jan
