Not a B&B but Stempels Hotel is a fine place to stay in Haarlem at a fraction of what a hotel of similar quality would cost in Amsterdam. www.stempelsinhaarlem.com

Yep CJolly, the Keukenhoff Gardens are really beautiful in the Springtime and also the surrounding fields of tulips blooming. Much to see in Amsterdam and all those Dutch towns easily reached...Delft, Leiden, Zaanse Schans, Veere, Hoorn, Enkhuizen, Kinderdijk, etc. I'd leave out Volendam as touristy.
