A week in Le Marche
Any ideas on how to split a week in Le Marche, looking at June 2016? We have never been, so open to all suggestions. Given the state of knees (mine) and hips (his) we probably do not want to stay anywhere that is steep. Probably would want to stay two places, a 4/3 split. The other part of our two week plans involves a week in Venice, but not sure if Le Marche will be before or after. Very early planning stages.

Urbino is very steep, but nearby towns are not. Ascoli Piceno is flat, and marvelous. You'd need to say more about about what interests you to get advice that matches your interests. The website Le Marche Voyager has detailed information about itineraries and towns.

I'm only going to address the Venice first/second part of this. I think I would hit Venice first, the Le Marche. No way to avoid heat and crowds in Venice in the summer, but the earlier week might be less hot/crowded, and even if it's not, the relative peace of Le March afterward Venice would suit me.
No slam to Venice; going back for the umpteenth time at the beginning of October.

Venice would be set dates mid June, small group gathering. Our interests? Food, wine, pretty drives, charming towns, toss in some history and a few old churches. We have made many trips to Italy, looking forward to seeing LeMarche. We do not plan to sit on beaches, having a meal looking at a water view is more our speed. Thanks for the link to LeMarche Voyager.

Didn't mean to imply that you needed my advice. I was just addressing this part of your OP:
>The other part of our two week plans involves a week in Venice, but not sure if Le Marche will be before or after.<
Always interested in helping a thread stay near the top, especially if it is about some place I want to visit.
Agree that jamikins has good information, and especially great photos.

We love Le Marche!
You can see our pics here https://www.flickr.com/photos/pug_gi...57634528008046
We always stay at La Tavola Marche but the are selling so I don't know what the status will be next year.
We have four trip reports if you click on my name.
Enjoy!

Jamikins - I have to say, your Le Marche album has some of the most beautiful pictures of Italy I have ever seen. In 5 trips to Italy, we have not spent any time there - except driving around the mountains for a couple of hours one afternoon getting lost while looking for the Piano Grande in Umbria - but it is now definitely on the list!
